Sungai way besai terlihat jelas dari jalan lintas Liwa, ketika ketika melintas di sekitar sumberjaya, dengan debit air yang relatif stabil, sungai ini sangat layak diarungi dengan tingkat kesulitan menengah (grade 2+ sampai 3).

Pengarungan dimulai dari shelter way besai yang terletak di Pekon Sukajaya Kecamatan Sumberjaya yang terletak ditepian jalan lintas liwa dengan panjang lintas pengarungan sekitar 8-10 km dan adrenalin anda akan dipacu selama 2-3 jam.

Sepanjang pengarungan wisatawan akan suguhi pemandangan indah khas sungai, bertemu dengan biawak dan fauna lainnya. Hijaunya alam dipadu dengan derasnya air tentunya akan memberikan kenikmatan tersendiri bagi wisatawan yang menyukai kegiatan petualangan.
